Query Language

The text search engine allows queries to be formed from arbitrary Boolean expressions containing the keywords AND, OR, and NOT, and grouped with parentheses. For example:

Banff Jasper

finds documents containing 'Banff' or 'Jasper'

Banff or Jasper

same as above

Banff and Jasper

finds documents containing both 'Banff' and 'Jasper'

Banff not Jasper

finds documents containing 'Banff' but not 'Jasper'

(Banff not Jasper)and Edmonton

finds documents containing 'Edmonton', plus 'Banff' but not 'Jasper'
